FORUM ASSIGNMENT #4: Me(me): not impressed
COVID SHOOK
Introduction
This project has allowed me to discover new tools while having fun creating a meme! I personally thought it was funny since I recently tested positive for COVID- why not make light of it? My takeaway was that I became more familiar/ made use of masking, keeping my layers organized, the blur tool, and experimenting with smart objects.
Major learnings:
Transforming objects:
I went into this project without much practice/knowledge transforming objects even though we have practiced it I was unable to get the idea down. I had great practice with transforming objects in this project specifically with the thermometer gun reading a fever which was a crucial part of the meme as it displayed a major symptom of COVID. Resizing the gun through transform was very important so that it was still visible and not overlapping text
Smart Images:
I was not very familiar with the smart images coming into this project as I just learned it in class previously. I was able to experiment and apply smart images in my meme and it made editing the actual picture much easier and organized without compromising the whole background image.
Conclusion:
I feel as if I have come a long way using photoshop tools compared to the beginning of this course, I still have much to learn but as a person that is not super tech-savvy, I'm pretty happy with this project and definitely had fun with it!
