INTRODUCTION:
Recently in class, we have been focusing on design within the presentation of items such as brochures and the colors certain themes embody via InDesign. This blog will focus on Adobe Color and the creation of color schemes to make swatches for a picture we took for this assignment. The assignment will also focus on the tint in which certain colors of the picture portray and how they can be used to create additional swatches. The theme and color tints/swatches will then be used as inspiration for the brochure assignment.
INSPIRATION:
The inspiration for my color swatch theme comes from The Grandover Resort located in Greensboro, North Carolina. It is known for its luxurious suites, golf courses, conference centers, spa, and unique dining. The general color theme within the resort consists of neutral beiges, browns, whites, and orange. The color theme I created was inspired by the wooden framed ceiling, plants, light fixtures, and marble walls and floor within the lobby.

NAME PLATES:
experimented with each color percentage and found that one of the best balances for the three colors of the original was 100%, 50%, and 10% to create a gradience between the three.
THE BROCHURE :
This color scheme will inspire my design for my tri-fold informational brochure. The brochure will advertise the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and its aquatic habitat conservation and restoration program. I choose this specific program because of my interest in environmental studies and I am excited to experiment with warm, tropical colors. The brochure will include the commission's goals, research, location aspects, and graphic elements such as text wrapping, images, and the use of appropriate color to emphasize the tropical setting as well as visual appeal.
